These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of valbinds.com and purchases made from ValBinds.
By accessing this website, placing an order, or purchasing a product or service from ValBinds, you agree to these Terms.
Handmade & Custom Products
ValBinds specializes in handmade and customized products, including custom book rebindings and related bookbinding products.
Because products are handmade, minor variations or imperfections may occur. Colors may also appear differently in person than they do on a computer or mobile device.
These natural handmade variations are not necessarily considered defects.
Custom Rebind Orders
Custom book rebindings are created specifically for each customer based on the options and information provided during the ordering and design process.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their customization requests.
When applicable, digital cover mockups may be provided for approval before the physical cover is created. Mockups are intended as a representation of the final design. Colors, placement, materials, metallic finishes, textures, and other physical elements may appear somewhat different in person.
Once a design has been approved and production has begun, requested design changes may not be possible or may require an additional fee.
Turnaround & Processing Times
The current estimated turnaround time for custom rebind orders is generally 12–16 weeks, unless otherwise stated on the applicable product listing or agreed upon separately.
All turnaround and processing times are estimates and are subject to change or extension.
Turnaround times may be extended due to order volume, project complexity, material availability, unexpected production delays, illness, holidays, shipping delays, or other circumstances affecting production.
The turnaround time displayed at the time an order is placed is an estimate and does not constitute a guaranteed completion, shipping, or delivery date.
I will make reasonable efforts to complete orders within the estimated timeframe and will communicate with customers when a significant delay affects their order.
Processing and turnaround times for other products, including bookbinding kits, may differ and will be stated on the applicable product listing.
If expedited service is purchased, the estimated expedited turnaround time stated at the time of purchase will apply. Shipping carrier transit time is separate from production and processing time.
Customer-Supplied Books
When a customer chooses to provide their own book for rebinding, the customer is responsible for safely shipping the book to ValBinds.
ValBinds is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, damaged, or misdelivered while being shipped to ValBinds by the customer.
Books may occasionally contain pre-existing damage, weak bindings, brittle pages, printing defects, or other conditions that are not visible until the original cover or binding is removed.
If an unexpected issue is discovered that materially affects the project, I will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer to discuss available options.
Shipping & Delivery
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
Any shipping or delivery estimate is separate from the production turnaround time and is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Once an order has been transferred to a shipping carrier, delivery timing is subject to that carrier's operations.
ValBinds is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, weather, or other circumstances outside of my reasonable control.
If a package appears lost, damaged, stolen, or misdelivered, please contact me at info@valbinds.com so I can assist with available carrier claims or other reasonable options where applicable.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by their country unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
Many ValBinds products are handmade, personalized, custom-made, digital, or created specifically for an individual customer.
Because of the nature of these products, orders may be subject to restrictions on cancellation, returns, or refunds.
The Refund Policy displayed on valbinds.com at the time of purchase applies to your order and is incorporated into these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Digital Products
Digital products are delivered electronically, and no physical product will be shipped unless the applicable listing specifically states otherwise.
Digital products purchased from ValBinds are for the purchaser's personal use unless a separate commercial license is purchased or the listing expressly grants commercial-use rights.
You may not resell, redistribute, share, upload, reproduce for resale, or otherwise make ValBinds digital files available to others unless you have received appropriate permission or licensing.
Courses & Educational Content
Purchase of a ValBinds course provides the purchaser with personal access to the applicable educational content.
Course access, videos, downloadable resources, and other educational materials may not be copied, recorded, redistributed, resold, shared publicly, or shared with individuals who have not purchased access.
Course content is provided for educational purposes. Individual results may vary depending on materials, equipment, technique, experience, and other factors.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, content created by ValBinds and displayed on this website—including original graphics, photographs, videos, written materials, digital files, course materials, branding, and original designs—is owned by or licensed to ValBinds and may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing a physical or digital product does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property or grant commercial reproduction rights.
Certain custom projects may incorporate customer-provided materials, licensed artwork, or third-party intellectual property. Ownership of such material remains with its respective rights holder.
Customer-Provided Images, Artwork & Content
If you provide photographs, artwork, graphics, text, reference images, or other materials for use in a custom project, you represent that you have the right or appropriate permission to provide and use those materials for the requested purpose.
ValBinds reserves the right to decline a requested design or material where appropriate.
Product Availability
I reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, change product offerings, or correct errors in product descriptions or pricing.
If an error materially affects an order that has already been placed, I will contact the customer regarding available options.
Pricing
Prices are displayed on the website and may change at any time.
Price changes do not retroactively change the price of an order that has already been completed and paid for, except where necessary to correct an obvious pricing or checkout error and as permitted by applicable law.
Website Use
You agree not to use this website for unlawful purposes, attempt to interfere with its operation or security, submit fraudulent orders, or use ValBinds content in a manner that infringes applicable rights.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ValBinds will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, products, or services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including Shopify and other service providers.
ValBinds is not responsible for the independent practices, content, or policies of third-party websites or services.
Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this website with an updated revision date.
The Terms applicable to an order will generally be those in effect when the order is placed, except where changes are required by applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the State of Arizona and the United States, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections or rights that may apply to customers in other jurisdictions.
